Iran, Russia to Boost Round-Trip Flights: Russian Minister2016/03/16

Flights from Russia can go to the Iranian cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, Rasht and three other cities that Iran will confirm later, Alexander Novak told reporters after meeting Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi in Tehran on Monday, Russian RBTH website reported.

He added from Iran, carriers can fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Kazan, Ufa, Sochi and one other destination at the discretion of the Russian aviation authorities.

Novak said that the sale of Russian aircraft, vehicles and railcars to Iran was also discussed at the meeting.

"Today we discussed issues concerning supplies of Tu-204SM and Sukhoi SuperJet 100 airplanes, supplies of helicopters, GAZ and Sollers buses and automobiles, Kamaz automobiles, Uralvagonzavod (UVZD) railcars - about 12,000 railcars could be shipped to Iran by 2020," the minister said.

"Supplies of pipes for the oil industry, rolled metal products, pumps, compressors, and power engineering equipment were also discussed during the meeting," Novak added.
